1415 Louisiana

Principal Ken R. Harry was selected to transform the interior of 1415 Louisiana, a 43 story LEED EB O&M certified office building into the “Best in Class” choice for tenants looking for a Class A building without Class AAA rates. The renovations covered all common areas (the garage elevators, the tunnel system, mall level below the office tower, main lobby, office building elevators, and the exterior canopy at the main entry). The main lobby concept was to cover the huge expanse of dark granite floors and walls with a very thin and lightweight porcelain stoneware that would immediately brighten and modernize the space.

To create contrast, the elevator lobby was upgraded with back painted glass, and a wooden archway was designed to usher guests from the main lobby to the elevator. A new security station was provided as well to compliment the new finishes in the surrounding areas. Particular attention was paid to the guest experience from garage entry to lobby, equaling the distance of one city block. Ken created a cohesive design that is carried throughout the parking garage elevator, through the tunnel system, and into the office elevators and out to the main lobby.
